Vegan/ vegetarian guide
And most important- where to get vegan pastéis de nata in Porto!
Vegana by Tentúgal
This is my favorite restaurant in Porto, no doubt!
They serve mainly sandwiches, cakes, and other quick dishes and it’s the perfect place to stop by for a small snack. Their cheese sandwiches taste so real, I couldn’t believe it’s vegan. Also, they usually have delicious vegan pastéis de nata ❤.
A little vegan shop is part of Vegana by Tentúgal, where you can get a lot of vegan yummies, fresh veggies, zero waste supplies or cool tote bags and t-shirts.
Zenith brunch & cocktail bar
If you go to this cozy place be ready to wait a while outside to get a seat because it’s pretty crowded in the afternoon. For a reason. They have plenty of vegan options and everything I tried was delicious. Especially the avo toast with the veggie cheese.
Another place where you can get vegan pastéis de nata and many more vegan cakes. During lunch and dinner time, DaTerra turns into an all you can eat restaurant, so be prepared to roll out of there. Otherwise, you can choose from burgers, sandwiches, etc.
In Black Mamba, you can find many kinds of vegan burgers and some cakes as well. It’s a bit hidden and it really has a cool atmosphere. You can also buy records in there.
A little cool café in the center of Porto that isn’t so pretty anymore when it’s super crowded so I recommend you to go when the weather outside is nice and even better if you go in the morning.
There are plenty of pretty cafés in Porto, It’s a pity I didn’t visit more of them, unfortunately, I always tend to come back to the places I like instead of trying out new cafés and restaurants. However, you should not miss Mesa 325 because it’s one of the cozy places I visited more often instead of exploring new ones.
Cultura dos sabores
Another all you can eat restaurant, it’s vegetarian but most of the dishes are vegan as well. You can also order a vegan francesinha, which is a typical Portuguese sandwich originally from Porto. And you can eat your meal while sitting on a swing.
DUH! vegan donuts
A little takeaway selling yummy donuts and bagels.
